TUI Care Foundation – Caring for a better world
The TUI Care Foundation supports and initiates long-term local and international partnerships and projects that focus on the promotion of young people, the protection of the natural environment, and successful destinations.
The TUI Group bundles its social commitment with the TUI Care Foundation. The goal is to support projects that offer young people new perspectives for the future, protect nature and wildlife, and promote sustainable development and prosperity in the destinations.
The TUI Care Foundation operates worldwide, but always focuses on the local situation. To achieve sustainable and positive change, it builds on strong partnerships with regional and international organisations. The charitable foundation commits itself to a transparent and efficient use of funds: 100% of donations go to projects and project partnerships. The foundation's overhead costs are borne by TUI.
With more than 30 different projects across different continents, the TUI Care Foundation is implementing its "Caring for a Better World" strategy with the following goals by 2020:
- Improving the opportunities of more than 100,000 children and adolescents
- Protecting the habitat and well-being of over one million animals.
- Engaging in ten groundbreaking destination projects with a special focus on resource-saving and innovative approaches.
- Improving the livelihood of 10,000 local people in tourist destinations.
