From 2016 to 2026: Our journey so far
From bold beginnings to exciting new chapters — take a look at some of the key moments that have shaped TUI BLUE over the past ten years:
First TUI BLUE hotel opens
TUI BLUE celebrated its debut with the opening of TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park on the Turkish Aegean in May 2016, followed by TUI BLUE Palm Garden on the Turkish Riviera only a week later.
TUI’s flagship hotel brand
TUI BLUE becomes TUI Group's global flagship hotel brand, with TUI SENSIMAR (approx. 60 hotels) and TUI FAMILY LIFE (approx. 30 hotels) rebranding to TUI BLUE.
Growth in the Alps
TUI BLUE Montafon opens to guests as a newly built mountain hotel constructed on the grounds of the Austrian municipalities of Schruns and Tschagguns — an ideal location for active holidaymakers.
Global expansion plans
TUI BLUE announces expansion plans for Southeast Asia, China, Africa, and the Middle East. The first hotel in China, TUI BLUE Wusongkou Cruise Port, opens in June 2024, followed by TUI BLUE Yangshuo Xiangheli and TUI BLUE Taicang in September 2024.
Friendly robot characters
2E-3000 and his robot friends make their debut in selected hotels. The portfolio grows with additions such as TUI BLUE Crystal Bay (Egypt), TUI BLUE Atlantica Sungarden Park (Cyprus), TUI BLUE The Passage (Thailand), as well as TUI BLUE Levante and TUI BLUE Victoria Menorca (Spain).
Introduction of flexible search options
We introduced a refreshed set of brand promises: personal touch, cultured cuisine, and tailored activities. In addition, our new traveller types and product highlights make it easier to find the hotel stay that fits you best.
Construction of a new hotel in Curaçao + opening of the second hotel in Vietnam
TUI BLUE announces the construction of a new hotel in Curaçao (opening late 2026) and simultaneously opens its second hotel in Vietnam, TUI BLUE Nha Trang, a tranquil coastal retreat with panoramic views.
Four new hotel openings announced for Summer 2025
TUI BLUE Budoni in Italy, TUI BLUE Angora Beach in Türkiye, as well as TUI BLUE Manar and TUI BLUE Palm Beach Hammamet in Tunisia join the expanding portfolio.
First hotel in Indonesia
TUI BLUE Berawa opens in Canggu, South Bali, just minutes from Berawa Beach. Surrounded by surf spots, untouched beaches, and cultural attractions, it offers a blend of relaxation and adventure.
20th hotel in Asia
TUI BLUE Guilin Watermark Promenade opens in Guilin, China, known for its karst mountains and scenic landscapes. TUI BLUE Angkor Grace also joins the portfolio in July 2025 as the first TUI BLUE hotel in Cambodia.
Growth in Africa
TUI BLUE Tamala opens as the first TUI BLUE hotel in The Gambia and the second in Africa, alongside TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar, which opened in July 2020.
Neuro-inclusive holidays
In collaboration with SENNIES, our kids’ club programme becomes neuro-inclusive, including specialised training for all teams. At the same time, free-to-use sensory rooms open at TUI BLUE Aura and TUI BLUE Nausicaa Beach.
