Away from the slopes

It doesn't always have to be skiing! Even without boards under your feet, you can find plenty of winter fun in Schladming. Sledding, curling, horse-drawn sleigh rides, winter hiking, and much more await your discovery.

You can experience the winter away from the ski slopes in the Schladming-Dachstein region, which offers activities for every taste. Sled down the mountain or get a little speed boost with an airboard...

The airboard is an air cushion you lie on that lets you use your body weight to steer and accelerate. Your head is protected by a helmet, and braking is done by angling the airboard. Of course, a short course is helpful for becoming familiar with the device. Then nothing can get in the way of the incredible fun on the Reiteralm!

Curling takes both skill and patience, and it's especially fun in a group. Curling in the winter takes place outside at many spots in the Schladming-Dachstein region.

Within walking distance of the TUI BLUE Schladming is an ice rink with ice skate hire in suitable weather. There are many other places in the Enns valley with outdoor ice rinks, some of them with ice disco in the evenings.

A horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered dreamland could hardly be more romantic! The snow creaks under the runners while you stay toasty warm beneath a cuddly blanket, and there's a mulled wine or hot chocolate to keep you that way. There's a wide range of picturesque routes in the region.

Info: The selection of local vendors and activities is huge. Ask at the hotel for tips. We're here to help.
